Lake Superior Provincial Park

Lake Superior's powerful magic has been recognized and praised by many. People from all walks of life, artists especially, have been drawn to its shores to enjoy the lake's extraordinary magnitude and beauty.

Although we had not discovered Lake Superior at the same time, as it later came across the impact of this discovery on both of us has been equally profound. It was a feeling of being at home at a place where one has never been before. Our perception of nature and lanscape, and its meaning to us, would never be the same again. Neither of us has since missed one year without paying a visit to the lake, while attempting to capture over and over our favourite themes.

One of the places to which we feel a particularly strong tie is the Lake Superior Provincial Park, Agawa Bay especially. It is a place of magnificent scenery, translucent emerald green waters, and rocks of almost transcendental beauty and mystery.

Every year we come to admire, touch, photograph, enjoy ... and ask the questions. The lake never fails to respond.
