Of Stones and Riddles

You are the artist and you are a stone,
since all the puzzles that you find and solve will be your own.
The most puzzling patterns found on the ancient rocks are those presenting us with many choices of how they can be perceived and interpreted. Being more than just a likeness of something readily recognizable, they entice us to look at them in a similar manner as we look at a piece of abstract art while trying to comprehend its meaning to us. Yet, in this situation, it is just a stone bearing some pattern and us. There is no artist, no trend or a tradition that we can use as a guiding tool. Then it is only up to us to solve a riddle.
All images, that are part of this work, I simply call “Connections” as these patterns require from us to engage ourselves into a process of connecting to reveal their mystery.
